Northwestern Information Technology will be performing a software upgrade to the Juniper Departmental firewalls listed below. The firewalls are being upgraded to install new software that brings them up to the latest vendor-recommended version and protects us from recently released critical security vulnerabilities. Standalone firewalls will be down for around 5-10 minutes during the reboot. Redundant Paired firewalls will also have a brief 3–4-minute interruption during this upgrade as the firewalls are upgraded.

The myHR system will undergo scheduled maintenance to apply Oracle’s required tax updates 26B and 26C. The maintenance necessitates system downtime, meaning myHR, including Self Service and Careers, will be unavailable beginning Saturday, October 31st, at 7 a.m. through approximately 1 p.m.

• Functionality — The system components and capabilities you currently enjoy on myHR will continue to function after the update as they do now. Your user experience will be unchanged. Before logging into myHR after the update, users will need to clear their cache.
• Data Availability — During the downtime, data lookup will remain available to administrators in the myHR reporting database. All reports will remain accessible in Cognos and myHR reporting queries.
