A maintenance is scheduled for the Quest Analytics Nodes on Wednesday, October 9th, between 8 a.m. and 12 p.m. The Analytics Nodes will be unavailable during this period. This maintenance is necessary to upgrade R and RStudio to versions 4.4.0 and 2023.12.2-407 respectively. JupyterHub and SAS Studio will be unchanged.
User Impact:
-RStudio users on the Quest Analytics Nodes will need to reinstall their R packages due to the R version upgrade. To avoid any disruption after the maintenance, users are recommended that they install their R packages for R version 4.4.0 on Quest prior to downtime. Further details can be found in the Knowledge Base documents on using R on Quest and installing R packages.
-At the time of the scheduled maintenance, all sessions running on the Quest Analytics Nodes, including RStudio, Jupyter and SAS Studio will be cancelled. Users are encouraged to save their work prior to the maintenance window to avoid any loss of data.
-After the maintenance, a new configuration, which will terminate R sessions after 12 hours of inactivity will take effect. This change will improve the user experience for active sessions and enhance system stability.
