Northwestern Information Technology will be performing a software upgrade to the wireless system for the Evanston Campus. This new software is being applied to address a security vulnerability that has been identified in the current software. No impact to end-users is expected during this upgrade as the wireless access points are done in a rolling manner.

(54719) NU Validate disaster recovery test Feb 1, 2026 13:00-17:00 CST

NUIT will conduct a test fail-over of NU Validate to the new disaster recovery infrastructure in the Chicago data center. There will be a full outage of about 30 minutes at the beginning and end of the window. Updates made during the middle of the window may experience delays in propagating to downstream systems, especially school- and department-based Active Directory domains.

(55085) CAESAR will be unavailable on Saturday, February 7, 2026 from 4 AM to 10 AM Feb 7, 2026 04:00-10:00 CST

CAESAR will undergo scheduled maintenance to apply Oracle's Critical Patch Update to ensure the system is up-to-date with Oracle enhancements, patches, and fixes to address security vulnerabilities. This enables CAESAR to stay in sync with the technology and to deliver future enhancements.

CAESAR and Reporting database will be unavailable from 4 AM to 10 AM on Saturday, February, 7, 2026

During the downtime window, CS861QA and CS861SUP databases will be available for any reporting needs.

(55062) myHR January CPU implementation. February 7th 7AM – 3PM Feb 7, 2026 07:00-15:00 CST

The myHR system will undergo scheduled maintenance in order to apply a critical security patch . The maintenance necessitates system downtime, meaning myHR, including Self Service and Careers, will be unavailable beginning Saturday, February 7, at 7 a.m. through approximately 3 p.m.

What This Means

• Functionality — The system components and capabilities you currently enjoy on myHR will continue to function after the upgrade as they do now. Your user experience will be unchanged. Before logging into myHR after the patch, users will need to clear their cache.
• Data Availability — During the downtime, data lookup will remain available to administrators in the myHR reporting database. All reports will remain accessible in Cognos and myHR reporting queries.

(55067) NUFinancials | Upgrade from PeopleTools 8.61.15 to PeopleTools 8.61.17 (January 2026 CPU) | Saturday, 2026-02-07 Feb 7, 2026 07:00-15:00 CST

In order to receive a high level of support from Oracle for NUFinancials and avoid any security vulnerabilities, it is vital that we upgrade NUFinancials from PeopleTools 8.61.15 to PeopleTools 8.61.17.

This maintenance necessitates system downtime, during which NUFinancials will be unavailable.
We anticipate the maintenance will extend until 3pm at the latest.
