Investigating - We are currently investigating an issue causing significant delays in email delivery to consumer Gmail accounts, including messages from forwarding accounts. Messages sent to Gmail recipients may take substantially longer than expected to arrive. Northwestern IT is working to resolve the issue and will provide updates here as more information becomes available.

(62353) Two-Way Radio System Equipment Upgrade Aug 11, 2026 06:30-08:00 CDT
Northwestern IT will be working with our vendor to upgrade hardware on the Two-Way Radio System. During this maintenance window there will be a brief service interruption of approximately 1 hour at 6:30AM. All users will see “Out of Range" on their radios and there will be no service on either campus. The only exception is limited radio to radio communication for UP CSOs, Facilities, and TNS who will be able to use secondary zone channel 4 for a talk around which is programmed into the radios. Facilities Dispatch stations will not function. NUPD Dispatch stations will see Starcom and Cook County resources but not the Northwestern radio network.

Northwestern Information Technology will be implementing a software configuration change to the wireless network infrastructure. This update is intended to improve the security posture of the eduroam wireless network. Devices that have not been updated to use certificate-based authentication on the eduroam network will no longer be able to connect. Northwestern Information Technology has been notified of scheduled maintenance to one of our Internet Service Providers (ISP). During this maintenance window, affected traffic will be routed through alternate ISPs. No service interruption is expected.
