Northwestern IT is upgrading GlobalProtect, the University’s Virtual Private Network (VPN). Beginning on November 10, 2026, at 7:30 a.m. GlobalProtect will require all users to download and install the new client the next time they initiate a VPN connection. The upgrade adds support for macOS Golden Gate, addresses security vulnerabilities, and keeps the University aligned with the vendor’s recommended software release.
